About Us

The Fire Patrol can trace its beginnings back to 1803, when the Mutual Assistance and Bag Corporation was formed by a group of volunteers to protect and preserve the contents of buildings from fire and water damage.

Today, these goals ramain paramount. The Patrol preserves and protects everything from museum works of art to sophisticated electronic and computer equipment in high-rise buildings.

The Fire Patrol's firehouses (two in Manhattan, one in Brooklyn), respond 24 hours-a-day, seven days a week with these activities being supported by assessments on all property insurance written in the Patrol's territory.

In fact, the Fire Patrol responds to more than 10,000 alarms annually,
savings only pertain to contents; thay do not include the savings to buildings, uninsured property and contingent coverages. Inclusion of these components would dramatically increase this figure.
